As teased in our recent early August news roundup (see the newest round here), Gab De La Vega gears up for another European tour this September (see the dates below)! After six years of non-stop touring across Europe, one 7” and two LPs, the Italian punk rock singer-songwriter have finally announced the details of a new release, this time (for the first time) out via his own label Epidemic Records, Backbite Records (Germany) and Vegan Records (Argentina)! All three labels are known for their hardcore punk releases, but that’s also Gab’s background, which puts his music on the same page with other heavier bands and musicians. “I Want Nothing” was recorded in May 2017. Gab this time worked with drummer Marco “Cello” Cellini (previously with Gab in the hardcore punk trio THE SMASHROOMS) and with Simone Piccinelli, who worked on two of his previous LPs (Songs Of Existence and Never Look Back). Pre-orders will start soon, so keep your eyes open!
“This is still my acoustic solo project – says Gab – but this song required a full band arrangement in the studio. Plus, I wanted to try something different. I’m very happy with this new song, this is a real attempt to come out of my comfort zone and I feel like I made it with the best of results.”
