Scandinavian dark, metallic hardcore pack CITY KEYS have debuted their first music video in support of new EP, “Rites”! We introduced the band last year and offered a follow-up interview earlier this year, so be sure to dive into more details of their work right after you check out the video below.

Since forming in September of 2016 the band has played close to 60 shows around Europe and have released two EPs. Next up for the band will be writing and recording of a full album which is set to be released during 2018.

The track ‘Rites’ was reorded by Tomas Skogsberg (Sunlight Studio), mixed by Fred Hunger (Fvck Life Studios) and mastered by Brad Boatright (Audiosiege). The following video was directed by Christoffer Tönnäng and produced by Lect Production.

With the vision to create a raw and authentic sound that uncompromisingly reflects the dark tone of the songs. Mixed by the band’s guitarist/vocalist Fred Hunger (FVCK LIFE STUDIOS), mastered by Brad Boatright (AUDIOSIEGE) and features guest vocals by Tompa Lindberg (At The Gates, Disfear) and Bjorn Dossche (Rise & Fall). CITY KEYS draw from musical influences such as Entombed, Integrity, Disfear and Rise & Fall. The theme of ”RITES” visualizes the state of a darkened world and the destruction caused by human arrogance.

The members carry a long combined history of strong work ethics, comprising of relentless touring and recording schedules, which has already earned them a strong following as a band since the debut E.P ”TIP THE SCALE” was released in October 2016. CITY KEYS will have played around 60 shows within the first 9 months as officially existing and have no plans on slowing down.
