Oh yeah, you really need to focus now. OUR CEASING VOICE, who IDIOTEQ recently talked to, are streaming their new album “That Day Last November” in full! Give this amazing, melancholic piece a listen and support the band by catching them live (see the dates below) and grabbing their merch.
This Austrian post rock / ambient / shoegaze project will officially release the album tomorrow, on January 18 via Frontal Noize & Revolvermann Records.
The second full length from these Austrians has been long overdue, as fans have had to wait two years for new material (though the band have re-released their debut-EP on vinyl to keep everyone satisfied). Just like When The Headline Hit Home, That Day Last November is a concept album, revolving around themes such as death, mortality, love and grief. The album also marks a clear departure from their debut material though. Suprisingly, vocals feature prominently on the album (courtesy of American singer-songwriter Matthew Ryan). And whilst Headline was clearly a postrock record, November aims broader, incorporating elements of acoustic rock and post-metal alike. A record that will appeal to fans of Mono, GYBE and Neurosis.
