Canadian shoegazin’ emo pop artist JOJII have announced a new EP, a 7-song emo collection titled I Want to Die, to be released on March 22 on Wonderghost Records. JOJII has unveiled 2 new track off of that record and they strike a great balance between the various facets of the history of alt rock and ambient pop music. Joel “Jojii” Vigilante is a wash up with nothing to lose. He creates alternative, bedroom-pop music based on honest lyrical intent with melodic instrumentation and atmospheric soundscape backgrounds. Similar to acts like The 1975, DIIV, and GRIMES. “See” and “Skulls and Bones”, are ambient pop ballads honoring a newfound love for another, whom is a formidable force in favor of Jojii’s recovery and road to wellness.
