Budapest based melodic metalcore act HARMED have spent most of this year preppin’ their debut offering and now they’re finally back with a proper forerunner of their upcoming debut record, coming later this year. These guys prove that they have no desire to be chained down by the limitations of one strict style and go beyond various takes on metal and its naughty “-core” mutation. As always, we could beg to abandon some of its accessibility, what the hell, we can use some melodies and clean singing after all. “605” finds the band entering the metalcore scene with a quality, well-prepared debut, and it makes them an interesting band to watch. See and listen for yourself.
The band commented:
“We all have a side to us that no one knows about, an evil twin that lives inside us all, a dark passenger so to speak. Our goal is to shed light on this aspect which is inside of us all, to find who we are when no one is watching?”
HARMED is Levente Spicze – vocals, Balazs Keresztesi – guitars, Gabor Toth – guitars, Mihaly Zsakai – drums
The band expounded more on the concept of HARMED:
The motivation for the members was elevating a hard, dark and captivating musical style to a whole new level.
Our purpose is to introduce to a wide audience one part realist, and one part subjective, often exorbitant lyrical narrative, with a devastating and elemental musicality.
