Doomy post rock act LATE NIGHT VENTURE streaming their new album in full!

January 20, 2016
1 min read

Danish post rockers from LATE NIGHT VENTURE have released their third album called “Tychonians” and it’s available for streaming below. Despite its mellow and soothing nature, it’s never boring and delivers a quality musical journey. With “Tychonians”, LATE NIGHT VENTURE dig deep and create a dark offering that certainly carries its own weight and creativity. Have an immersive headphone session with this one and catch them live on March 3rd at Underwerket in Copenhagen with  Denovali Records’ ambient rockers THE EYE OF TIME.

Building upon the musical universe presented on their previous recordings, the new album – titled “Tychonians” – present a both heavy and cosmic soundscape over 6 songs spanning 45 minutes. Somewhere in the neverland between stoner rock, shoegaze and neo-psychedelia, Late Night Venture has cultivated their very own mix of heavy guitar riffs, dystopian drums, Moog-solos and vocal elements ranging from a quiet whisper to screams of desperation.

Taking it´s title from 16th century astronomer Tycho Brahe, “Tychonians” is a celebration of man meeting the cosmos. As modern life leaves us fewer opportunities to dwell and reflect below the pitch black void of the night time sky and the icy, white particles of light emitting from the stars, Late Night Venture wants to remind us of the unfathomable vastness and beauty of space. In the age of Tycho Brahe, earth was (in the minds of man) the center of all being. As we in our present day roam through life consumed with our individual hopes, fears and aspirations, it is not difficult to give in to the notion that we are – each of us – the center of everything.  As such, we are perhaps still followers of Tycho – or: “Tychonians”!
