Modern misanthropy powered by electricity, between THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, ATARI TEENAGE RIOT, and SLEIGH BELLS, IT’S THE LIPSTICK ON YOUR TEETH creates angst and weltschmerz, punk and pathos, death and disco in an eclectic wall of digital noise – distortion amplified. Following three self-released singles, Skintrade is their first album released on Seayou Records. With the exception of mastering the album, the band relied entirely on its shared skills to create it – DIY production, artwork and anger. Jaded is deep introspection. Buried beneath riffs of noise one finds – besides demons and aggressions – that there is also a certain assurance to nonetheless waste some time via hedonism and reprehensible morals.
