A veil of chaos lifts again as FERAL NATURE drop their new single ‘Déjà Vécu,’ a blood-soaked preview of their upcoming EP Rituals. The Oslo-based metallic hardcore outfit, known for tearing through the underground scene like a storm, have chosen today to unveil their latest sonic assault—a collaboration with Tony Gonzalez and Timo Silvola from BARREN WOMB.

With a track that speaks to humanity’s cycle of self-destruction, ‘Déjà Vécu’ hits harder than a gut punch you never saw coming.

It’s been just a month since the release of their ferocious debut single ‘Unleash,’ where they first stepped into the spotlight and lit the fuse for what’s to come. Now, with Rituals, FERAL NATURE are ready to dismantle everything in their path. This is the new wave of Oslo’s hardcore scene, and you better not miss out on it.

The EP, set to drop in November, is a collaborative effort that feels both spontaneous and intentional. As Rob Hamilton, the band’s guitarist, explained:

“All the guest spots on the EP came out of a time of uncertainty. We still hadn’t found our vocalist Selma yet, and we started floating the idea of completing each song with a different guest appearance. We’ve been friends with Tony and Timo from BARREN WOMB for years, and they generously said yes to featuring on the song. It’s a short spot, but ultimately it’s just a good excuse to share music with friends.”

This casual approach to collaboration has resulted in a raw, unfiltered sound that echoes through every second of ‘Déjà Vécu.’ The track features a whirlwind of sharp, aggressive guitars, machine-gun drumming, and vocals that bleed with desperation. Timo and Tony’s brief but blistering appearance adds a layer of ferocity, like a scream from the void in a moment of universal despair.

Behind the scenes, FERAL NATURE’s EP was shaped by the skilled hands of guitarist Robert Hamilton, who mixed the entire project at Eureka Soundworks. Drums were edited by none other than Lewis Johns at The Ranch Production House, and the EP’s final form was mastered by Magnus Lindberg at Redmount Studios, crafting a sound that feels as dense and oppressive as the themes within.

With appearances from members of LLNN, Sâver, SIBIIR, and of course BARREN WOMB, Rituals is a declaration of war against complacency, against humanity’s stubborn refusal to learn from its own mistakes, a recurring theme that looms large across its lyrics.

As Hamilton notes, ‘Déjà Vécu’ confronts “humanity’s inability to learn from its mistakes and being caught in an endless loop of suffering.” The song drips with frustration, each riff and guttural growl a bitter reminder of how history repeats itself in the most vicious ways.

FERAL NATURE have quickly risen from Oslo’s undergrowth, starting their journey supporting heavyweights like END, IMPLORE, and EYES. But they aren’t content with staying in the shadows.

You can catch the chaos live at the Høstsabbat Festival this October, where FERAL NATURE will be making their presence known.
