Ghastly “Waterworks”: DAMOKLES pictures the perfect first kill in new single

1 min read

Brand new Damokles single “Waterworks” has landed. It’s the fourth piece from the upcoming third album, “A Trophy Collection,” which unfolds as a serial killer concept story.

This time, the narrative follows a young man on the cusp of adulthood, hidden among the trees, obsessively awaiting his first kill. He dreams of perfection, romance, and gruesome ceremony—“Longing to unleash the ghastly waterworks of sweet, sweet tears. The clock is ticking.”

According to the band, “Day in and day out, the same restless routine. Nights come with romantic fever dreams, yearning to unwrap his wonderful flesh offering. Memorizing every single step. Waiting for his move.” This perspective shapes “Waterworks” into another dark, moody chapter of the fictional killer’s world.

The track features music by Damokles, mixed and mastered by Crystal Island Studio. It was recorded between Mir/Oslo and Charlottenburg/Berlin. Lyrics and artwork come from Gøran Karlsvik, while Sect Appeal Records handles the release.

“Waterworks” is out now on all major streaming platforms, marking another step toward the full “A Trophy Collection” album.
