Instrumental post-rock outfit IF THESE TREES COULD TALK today kicks off their US headlining tour in Kingston, New York. The journey runs through September 17th and features support from Driftoff and Spotlights. Additionally, the band will be shooting a video for for the track “Berlin” from their recently issued Metal Blade full-length The Bones Of A Dying World at their September 10th performance in Los Angeles, California.
Recorded at NE Meadow Studios in Akron, Ohio, The Bones Of A Dying World was produced and engineered by the band’s own Zack Kelly (drums). Mixing duties were handled by Kelly and Freddie DeMarco while the final master was completed by Alan Douches at West West Side Music. In a 4.5/5 review Heavy Blog Is Heavy notes, “In the faceted realm of a band that lives internally, gestating more and more energy which culminates in an album in infrequent bursts, all sounds and approaches are fair game. That’s what makes IF THESE TREES COULD TALK one of the best post metal bands ever: they never sacrifice one path for the other, never settle for what comes easy on the back of what sounds great.” MetalSucks concurs, “The music IF THESE TREES COULD TALK are putting out now is some of the finest they’ve ever written.” Adds Metal Blast, “The careful construction of every twist, turn, and transition creates a performance that is effortless to listen to in its sizeable entirety. The consistent progression and variation captivates interest and keeps the sound exciting and fresh all the way. For fans of instrumental music and just music in general…”
