Uniola is the lead release on Brooklyn Vegan’s ‘Five Notable Releases of the Week’
Uniola is the best album in this style to come out in a few years – BVUniola shows that even as time has passed, the band’s take on math-rock remains as fresh as ever. It’s a welcome return, as the band is found offering the biggest hooks of its career alongside some of its most dazzling instrumental passages – The AV Club
…propelled by a Broken Social Scene drum cascade and gorgeous dueling Dismemberment Plan riffs. – Spin
Look Mexico have a similar knack to blending math rock with pop music to Minus the Bear, Maps & Atlases, and comparative newcomers A Great Big Pile of Leaves. If you’re into those bands but you don’t listen to Look Mexico, you should change that now. – Brooklyn Vegan
