Prior to the release of their new record ‘Was,’ MEEK IS MURDER has premiered their new song called “A Prison, A Life Raft.” Debuted yesterday on Revolver magazine, the new tracl is a song about the double-edged sword of youth, according to frontman Mike Keller: “An ocean of possibility surrounds you, but choice can be a burden. Best enjoy the ride.”
“A Prison, A Life Raft” shows the Brooklyn trio’s end-of-world noise-core and D-beat stampede in full effect – the band has honed its style to a deadly art in its seven-year existence and upcoming fourth full-length Was is its masterpiece. Due for a July 15th release, Was was produced by Kurt Ballou (Converge, Nails) and mastered by Alan Douches (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Tombs) and has already earned these words from MetalSucks: “Brooklyn’s most batshit insane extreme music act… Was is a lethal injection of schizophrenic mathcore.”
