Music is capable of wonderful things. What else could we say when watching the video of NH3 revisiting Waiting Room, a classic by the American band Fugazi, together with Chris #2, member of one of the most prominent punk bands in the world, Anti-Flag.
A collaboration that connects Pesaro and Pittsburgh is currently passing through Germany under the brand of NH3, an Italian punk rock band with a huge following all over Europe, active since 2001 and always on the crest of the wave, thanks to a close-knit and faithful fanbase, cultivated over time, from the smallest stages to the major European festivals.
Chris #2 of Anti-Flag commented on this collaboration:
“A mutual friend of NH3 and I, planted this seed that we should collab on something. Within a couple of days we had this track, and within in a few more, a killer video. A true testament to the universal language of music, to the immoral divide of border law, and the connectivity of the punk rock community. It’s an honor to work with NH3 on this, one of my favorite Fugazi songs, and done in such a cool way. Punk rock is alive and well in 2019 with NH3.”
The collaboration with the bassist of Anti-Flag comes from the mutual respect and sets of values that the two bands share, including the unconditional support to Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
100% of the proceeds from the digital distribution of the single and a part of the sale of the special edition vinyl will go to support “Operation SISO” campaign against illegal fishing in the Mediterranean Sea that Sea Shepherd has been carrying on with excellent results for several years.
The single, a tribute to the band from Washington, DC and a real gift to their fans, follows the newly released album, titled “Superhero”, a mature but very catchy work, in which the band tries its hand at sounds that are not entirely easy to recognized in music standards, proving that NH3 are complete musicians, who have taken advantage of the thousands of lessons learned on stage.
Superhero has recently been released on CD and Digital, but with “Waiting Room” NH3 announce that a new vinyl edition is about to be released, enriched by the very successful cover.
