Here’s the official word:

Led by 23-year old songwriter, Winston Yellen, Night Beds hail from Nashville, TN by way of Colorado Springs. Winston boasts a new, great American voice with a specific brand of intimate thirst that few musicians possess.

Today, we get the pleasure of hearing Night Beds’ first single “Even If We Try.” It’s only fitting this stunning single was recorded in the former Hendersonville home of country-music legend, Johnny Cash. Watch Winston and lap-steel musician, Caleb Hickman, perform “Even If We Try” live in a church – you’ll find the video below or stream the audio version below.

“Even If We Try” comes out tomorrow as the a-side to the group’s new 7-inch. The b-side features “You Were Afraid” – the first song a then 18-year old Winston wrote with Night Beds in mind. The 7-inch will be available digitally at Dead Oceans Sounds Dripfm or get your physical copy at SC Distribution.
