OASIS returns: the epic 2025 reunion tour & “Definitely Maybe” reissue, out today!

2 mins read

OASIS might not be the most obvious fit for our magazine’s typical coverage, but there’s no denying the massive impact they’ve had on the alternative scene we champion. For many, including myself, OASIS has been a constant source of inspiration.

The rock icons have finally confirmed their much-rumored 2025 reunion tour, aptly named Oasis Live ’25. This is the first time that Liam and Noel Gallagher will share a stage in 16 years. The announcement came on August 27, and fans are already in a frenzy, with ticket pre-sales causing widespread hysteria.

Reunion tour

The tour kicks off in Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 4, 2025, and will cover major UK and Irish cities, including multiple nights in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin. Due to overwhelming demand, additional dates have already been added in Manchester, London, and Edinburgh.

Here’s the full list of dates:

Ticket prices

Ticket prices reflect the band’s colossal demand, with standing tickets across Cardiff, London, and Edinburgh starting at £135, while seated options range from £65 to £185, with premium packages reaching up to £250. Manchester shows have a standing price set at £135.

These prices have sparked some backlash, but with the anticipation and nostalgia surrounding OASIS, tickets are expected to sell out rapidly.

The band has also confirmed that fans selected through the ballot system will be notified by 5pm BST today if they’ve secured access to the pre-sale. However, it’s important to note that success in the ballot doesn’t guarantee tickets. Tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, adding an extra layer of tension as fans await the opportunity to secure their spots.

Additionally, there’s been significant demand, which has caused some delays in the ballot process. As a result, the deadline for confirming entries was extended until 10am BST today. Fans who successfully registered can expect to receive their confirmation emails later in the day.

For those looking to buy tickets during the general sale, it’s set to begin tomorrow, August 31, at 9am BST/8am IST. With the excitement building, the competition for these tickets is expected to be fierce, especially given the strict rules set by Ticketmaster, which include a limit of four tickets per household and card. Moreover, OASIS has partnered with the resale platform Twickets to ensure that fans can purchase any unwanted tickets at no more than face value, plus booking fees.

The lineup

In the wake of this reunion, speculation about the lineup has been rampant. While no other original members are expected to join, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, a fan-favorite and an original member, is heavily rumored to be on board. Bonehead has been performing with Liam’s solo band and, after overcoming health issues, looks set to rejoin the brothers on this monumental tour.

Definitely Maybe, 30 years later

In other news, today, the band has rolled out the 30th-anniversary reissue of their debut album Definitely Maybe. This album, which was the fastest-selling debut in UK history, is now available in several deluxe formats, featuring previously unheard tracks from the Monnow Valley and Sawmills Studios sessions.

Fans can grab it on deluxe 4LP, 2CD, colored vinyl, cassette, or digitally, each with new artwork and liner notes. See all the formats HERE.
