Perth spoken word emo band TREEHOUSES release nostalgic music video for their single “Roses”

1 min read

Released by We’re Trying Records and recorded on a film camera during their FEEL EVERYTHING tour, TREEHOUSES’ heartwarming new music video for ROSES takes us on the road with them around Australia’s East Coast. As the two-channel video proceeds through close-up shots of the band’s faces, highway vistas and rose-related images, the line “I’m sorry if I leave you” rings out, reminiscent of the nostalgia we feel as the summer comes to an end. The video culminates in scenes from an intimate house show in a backyard in Western Sydney, encapsulating the quintessential rawness and intensity of Treehouses’ live performance.

Marrying indie folk, emo, post-rock and spoken word poetry, Treehouses’ came into their own in 2017 with the release of two hard-hitting singles COPING and ACKNOWLEDGE ME. Continuing into the new year, the band ventured over to the East Coast for a run of memorable shows, touring with the Canberra band Sleeping Dogs and launching their acclaimed single ROSES.

Last month on their FEEL EVERYTHING tour, TREEHOUSES had the pleasure of stopping by Laundry Echo to do a stripped-back version of the song and it turned out truly amazing! Listen below:
