Polish instrumental post metal act THE SKY IS release new record “Télépathie”

May 2, 2017
1 min read

Featured on IDIOTEQ 4 years ago, Warsaw doom and stoner tinged post metallers THE SKY IS are back with a new record “Télépathie”, a follow up to their 2012 self-titled debut that served a bit more fragile idea of instrumental music. The record comes soon after their recent live appearance supporting the influential act RUSSIAN CIRCLES and will be presented live at the band’s 2 shows June: a blackened post metal celebration with GHOST BATH and  HERETOIR on the 2nd at Hydrozagadka and a follow show with FOBIA and IDIOTEQ  featured act BLACK TUNDRA on the 10th at the fellow venue Chmury. THE SKY IS continue to cut through genre restrictions and there’s a determination in the undertone of this offering, but I somehow can’t help the feeling they seem far too comfortable extending post rock cliches. All in all, “Télépathie” well expands THE SKY IS’s repertoire and it’s worth a check.
