RADIOHEAD have premiered the studio version of “I Promise”, an unreleased track that’s well known for fans of the pre-OK Computer era, when the band used to play the track live. The song is one of the three previously unreleased jams from their forthcoming OK Computer reissue titled “OKNOTOK” and has been premiered through BBC Radio’s “6 Music Recommends” with host Steve Lamacq. Listen below and watch the new video directed by our Polish buddy Michał Marczak, who also directed the vignette for “Identikit” from the band’s latest record A Moon Shaped Pool.
OKNOTOK will also feature “Lift” and “Man of War” and, of course, a remastered version of the landmark album, plus 8 b-sides. es. Each song is newly remastered from the original analog tapes.
UPDATE: June 7th: The band performed the song live at the Oslo Spektrum. It marked the track’s first live appearance in 21 years! Watch below.
