Make That A Take Records have unveiled a full stream of PMX‘s new EP “Dark Days“! CDs will ship on or around September 11th. If you haven’t heard of these guys, then you must immerse yourself in their fantastic melodic punk rock mastery. It may be a bit too easay to play “connect the dots” with their influences, but who cares with tracks this powerful and positive? Looking forward to big things from these boys. Enjoy!
The label commented:
We are very proud to be working alongside our long-time friends to bring you the incredible new EP. “Dark Days” is the first physical release from PMX since 2004’s defining “Rise and Shine” album on Bells On Records and follows the 25 minutes progressive punk epic “The Ballad of Tony Montana” from 2013.
“Dark Days” was self-produced with the drums being recorded by Bruce Rintoul at 45-A-Side Recordings in Glasgow before being mastered by the legendary Jason Livermore at The Blasting Rooms in Fort Collins, Colorado.
“Dark Days” is a mission statement that combines the pop-punk sensibilities of their earlier material with razor-sharp guitars, massive harmonies and a pervading darkness wrapped up with a super-speedy technical and progressive skate punk edge. Bursting with passion, frustration and a healthy dose of existential angst, “Dark Days” takes classic skate punk/melodic hardcore and adds an undeniable Scottishness with an injection of thrash metal, like classic Fat Wreck meets early 00s UK punk rock.
