Thick sludgecore beast SLUND have premiered its debut release called “The Call Of Agony” and it’s a one hell of a tough listen. Co-released by Narcoleptica Productions and Red Truth Records, the record is all about pushing limits and pursuing perverse ways of amusing your ears. Vicious, relentless and down right terror and sonic fury. Launch the player below to see what I mean.
Here’s the official press release:
The music of this album is a viscous sludge metal interrupted on a frequent, almost grindcore rhythms. In concept, it’s all mental disorder caused by stress, pressure from society and of course the constant nightmares. Material “The Call Of Agony” plays relentlessly on the nerves of its distorsions scratch and literally squeezes the gray matter from the skull of reinforcing bass.
No, it’s not anger or even hatred, it’s not despair and not depression… It’s just a little upset your fragile inner world. It would seem, a trifle, but if you have enough strength to survive it all?…
The band commented:
Get the christmas feeling all year round with SLUND. Snuggle in front of the fireplace on cold winter evenings with a hot cup of cocoa and listen to this album at low volume. Let the warm sounds of Slund embrace your heart with love and kindness.
You are more than welcome to play along this record with your acoustic guitar or ukulele on those magical summer nights around the campfire.
This album is about love and happiness. It is 100% gluten free!
It also works great as background music while cleansing your chakras.
