KEXP commented:
So far in our weekly series of Polish bands KEXP recorded while at the OFF Festival in Katowice, we’ve heard the inventive, experimental, electronic, traditional, and emotive sounds of contemporary Polish bands, but you might still be wondering, can they rock? The Stubs are here to say, hell yes! Over the course of 5 years, 3 LP’s and 1 EP, the Warsaw trio has stirred a fiery cocktail of blues, garage rock, and punk. “Low budget rock’n’roll”, they call it, preferring to keep their attack as direct and uncomplicated possible. In Poland, you can find The Stubs performing practically every week, but during the OFF Festival, they joined KEXP for an exclusive session at the historic jazz club Fantom, located in neighboring Bytom. Watch their blistering set now, and be sure check back next Tuesday for more in our series of Polish artists recorded by KEXP in Katowice, Poland, made possible by the OFF Festival and the Adam Mickiewicz Institute’s Don’t Panic! We’re from Poland! initiative.
