London’s The Eurosuite, known for their boundary-pushing mix of synth-punk, noise-rock, and no-wave, are back with their third full-length album, Totally Fine, set for release on October 18th, 2024 via Human Worth.
Featuring members of USA Nails, Nitkowski, and Screen Wives, The Eurosuite create a chaotic yet captivating sound that has earned them a reputation for blending woozy synths, drilling guitars, and hypnotic rhythms.
Produced by Wayne Adams (Petbrick, Big Lad) at Bear Bites Horse Studios, Totally Fine embraces a more minimalist approach compared to their previous work, emphasizing collective improvisation and stripping down individual indulgences in favor of a cohesive and raw sonic experience.
Inspired by themes of past memories, old habits, and self-reflection, Totally Fine explores personal and collective angst with dark humor and deranged energy.
From the throbbing pulse of “Antimatter” to the frenetic surf-punk explosion of “Houseplants,” the album stretches across a range of influences while maintaining a tight, raw edge. The band has honed their songwriting process through collaborative jamming, transforming atonal ideas into infectious hooks that linger long after the last note.
The album’s standout tracks are accompanied by three distinct music videos, each offering a glimpse into The Eurosuite’s creative vision.
Twelve Diphthongs features visual work by Dan Holloway, created using Blender 3D to transform his illustrations into a dynamic, lighting-heavy spectacle.
“I generally like to use Blender 3D for my music videos. I try to emulate how my illustrations and thoughts would come out in a 3D environment. For this video I wanted to have more visual centric approach rather than a narrative, accentuated with dynamic lighting around a subject,” commented Dan.
For Bagman, Gareth Thomas recalls their no-budget approach, shooting the video with just a torch in their rehearsal space, complemented by clever editing and a vintage DSLR lens.
“We made this video using a torch in our rehearsal room. Years of having to make promo vids with a £0 budget does force you into streamlining your thinking on these things, but some nice work on the mag-lite by Mike and Dan, plus some good performances and a lovely old DSLR lens I got at a charity shop for my camera, made this turn out pretty cool imho. The edit was really easy as everything we caught was really cool, and I think I managed to keep the aesthetic in line with the vids Dan made too. All in all this was a massive success and I am just so great.” – comments Gareth.
Bellyache brings Holloway’s vision to life with a video that reflects the song’s themes of change and deformation through surreal 3D imagery of contorted hands.
“Again created with Blender 3D. The song is about change and deformation of oneself. I had an image of a hand getting all bent out of shape while listening back to the track and thought it would make a cool video,” says Dan.
As the band prepares for a weekend of album launch shows across Europe, including dates in London, Brussels, and Paris, Totally Fine promises to further solidify their reputation as one of the most chaotic and captivating acts in the post-punk underground.
