THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM‘s lead singer and guitarist Brian Fallon recently announced that he’s not just writing new material for the band’s next album, but he’s also working on songs for his own album.
He writes:
Iโm working on a lot of things, itโs been a while, I apologize. ย Iโve had some really amazing things happen and some really terrible things in the last couple months. ย Iโm definitely on ย a new page, and I have to start there. ย So, Iโm going to make a record by myself, hopefully sometime this year. ย Iโve just started to work on these songs now, as well as new Gaslight Anthem songs for our next record. ย
Iโve learned thereโs too much to be done and not a lot of time to do it in. ย Things can change overnight. ย So Iโm going to do my best to get as much music out there as I can while Iโm young enough and fortunate enough to have people listening. ย
Thereโs no termoil or anything with Gaslight, weโre going to be writing too, but Iโm sure weโre gonna need a breather after this year of touring before we go in to make our next record. ย So since I canโt sit still, Iโm gonna make another record. ย Itโs what happens when you donโt do drugs, you end up with a lot of down time. ย So I fill that time with songs now.
