THE UNDERTAKING revives southern metalcore vibes with “And The Silver Surfer”

1 min read

Fresh from killing it at Furnace Fest 2023 and a quick tour with SAOSIN, THE UNDERTAKING! is back with their latest track, “And The Silver Surfer.” This song, lyrically inspired by the restless musings of sleepless nights, blends their signature chaotic style with groovy southern riffs, making it a must-have for any summer metalcore playlist.

Mixed by Ryan “Fluff” Bruce and featuring artwork by Jim Hughes, “And The Silver Surfer” captures THE UNDERTAKING!’s raw live energy.

The Undertaking

Austin shares his thoughts on the lyrics: “There’s a sense of hopelessness when you’re trying to sleep but can’t. Your mind wanders through past mistakes and tomorrow’s to-do list. We let our imaginations run wild on this track, exploring multiversal themes and the harsh reality that people don’t really care about your dreams.”
