Tribunal Records, whose 2006 DVD we posted recently, have started posting their discography online via bandcamp. Check out their official statement and a few selected streams below, go here to find more releases and wait for more!
We are currently uploading our ENTIRE catalog to Bandcamp. Needless to say it is going to take a bit of work on our end. You will be able to stream everything and purchase what you like. If you are unaware of Bandcamp please check it out.
iTunes currently has a major stranglehold on the digital music industry with no end in sight. Labels and artists lose an immediate 30% of all sales simply for “allowing” iTunes to sell our products. iTunes also no longer lets individuals submit audio to sell, so we must all go through a “middle man” who in turn takes another 15-20%. So when you buy an album or a track from iTunes remember…nearly 50% of the sale never makes it to the artist, nor the label.
Bandcamp on the other hand is the light at the end of the tunnel for independent artists and labels. Besides offering high quality audio files, Bandcamp accepts payments via Paypal and has a reasonable fee for their services which in turn helps bands and labels actually receive a monetary reward for their efforts. We understand this option isn’t the best for everyone, but we just wanted to give you something to ponder while wandering through your digital world.
As always, we thank you for your continued support now as Tribunal Records enters its 14th year as a label.
NOTE: If there is a specific title you are wanting to download via Bandcamp and do not see it listed please email me at [email protected] and I can bump it up in the upload order for you. Working through this entire catalog will take a bit of time.
