WILDHEART demands more transparency and honesty from politicians “Out For Blood”

2 mins read

WILDHEART are out for blood. Their new album ‘Global Crisis‘ is on it’s way and will be arriving on Friday November 5th. Today, they herald that the last cut from the record to be exposed to the world, Out For Blood, will be out on Friday October 22nd – and can be pre-saved here.

In a statement made by Adam and Axel from Wildheart, they proclaim that the song is about demanding more transparency and honesty from our Politicians and people in power. “Out For Blood in many ways was a visceral reaction to the glaring issues that the capitalist system has wrought upon us, especially in the midst of COVID-19. When the pandemic kicked off, the whole rhetoric of ‘There is not enough money to feed you, to educate you or keep people alive’ was blown apart, as they pumped billions of dollars into the economy, the world’s richest ran away with insane amounts of money, all while people are told they have to pay back instalments they needed to survive the extended lockdowns.”

“The only way you can truly take down something so monstrous is to rise up and fight back. Whilst the notion of standing shoulder to shoulder and hand in hand is a great metaphor, it isn’t exactly COVID-safe; we’ve always known the odds have been stacked against us. It’s happened before and it will happen again, but we must demand change. The Lyrics of ‘Out For Blood’ say it best – ‘We ripped back the curtain, It’s all there all laid bare. Never once about us, all about yourselves.'”

Earlier in the Year, triple j’s Short. Fast. Loud. Presenter Josh Merriel said that “Wildheart move from strength to strength showing that they are a band to keep both eyes firmly fixated on.” Tone Deaf have made an early call, saying, “They’re local, phenomenal and …they’re a reminder of why I fell for music in the first place. And though it’s early-ish, I’m calling it: melodic hardcore outfit Wildheart’s forthcoming LP will be a strong contender for Album Of The Year.” and Blunt Mag staking the claim that “For the hardcore hellions in Queensland outfit Wildheart, the sky really is the limit. Not only are they set to tear shit up at next year’s monolithic UNIFY Gathering, but they’re set to do so with a whole album of intensely ferocious mosh anthems.”

Global Crisis will be released on Friday 5th November, through Collision Course and MGM Distribution – and will be available through all digital platforms, which can be pre-ordered/pre-saved digitally at http://ffm.to/globalcrisis. Vinyl and Merch bundles can be pre-ordered here.

The record contains 13 incendiary tracks – passionate, furious and raw – recorded, mixed and mastered by Gareth Hargreaves. Singles from the record – Rising Tide, Backburner, False Hope, Fake Happiness and Show Me What It’s Like To Be Worthless are already out in the world.

Wildheart’s history is storied and impressive. They have seen regular playtime across triple j (having been played on triple j lunch, Short.Fast. Loud, The Racket, Blak Out and Home and Hosed, as well as multiple songs added to rotation on triple j unearthed!) and Spotify’s ‘Homegrown and Heavy’ playlist; and have played alongside heavyweight acts including Casey (UK), Listener (US), The Brave, Deez Nuts, Belle Haven, Bare Bones, Young Lions, Deadlights, Dregg and more.
