Here’s the official word about the band:
With clever plays on words, their passionate message derives from philosophy, psychology and corporate/political satire. The band advocates building upon a local DIY arts community and presents itself as a platform for giving back to the community through benefit shows and organizing volunteer events. The band created “Hope For The Hopeless”, a touring festival where fans vote on a non profit local to the city it’s in for all proceeds to be donated to. As an extension of Hope For The Hopeless, compilation CD’s and T-Shirts are also pressed to support the cause. American Standards has become known for offering a one of a kind experience with their intense interactive live shows. In the near future, the band has touring scheduled with Touche Amore/Joyce Manor, The Hope For The Hopeless Festival and touring in support of their new album “The Still Life” being released June 30th. American Standards can also be seen at the Within These Walls Festival in September featuring over 30 iconic national hardcore bands including Sick Of It All, Indecisive, Drop Dead and more.
