3rd Stone FTS management are looking for a couple of labels to work with in the US. Here’s some information about the artists they handle, as well as some of the unsigned artists in their management “fold” that would like US distribution. 3rd Stone FTS’ indie label bands are mostly female fronted rock/punk bands, funky girl pop, and then alternative rock bands (male and female led).
3rd Stone FTS, an artist management company in Tokyo Japan, has 3 indie labels. The company likes to assist new artists through their small independent labels. If and when the artists have the desire or are scouted by larger labels, they may go… but some of the artist prefer to stay on the smaller label. Other artists are more suited for the small label (all girl punk bands, as an example!)
I (Apryl Peredo / Inter Idoru) am working with 3rd Stone FTS in locating and working with overseas partners. 3rd Stone would like to find a few good small labels in the US, Canada, and Europe to “partner” with. Basically several of the indie artists signed to the labels go to US/Canada/Europe on small self-funded mini-tours, and would like a trusted friend/label there to handle the CD distribution in those countries.
We’d like a few partners, because not all bands are suited for all labels. If label A likes one band, but not another, we’d like an alternate avenue for the 2nd band.
In exchange, 3rd Stone would be delighted to listen to your labels bands and consider if they could “sell” in Japan. We’d happily look for distribution here in Japan and advise you if the band
wanted to plan a Japan tour.On the side, we do have a couple bands that are “unsigned” here, but managed, and some of them are highly interested in the US/Canada/European markets. We’d love for some of our new partner labels to consider distribution of these bands too.
