British experimentalists HUMAN FUTURE release new captivating record “Flat Earth Blues”

June 8, 2017
1 min read

With UK’s HUMAN FUTURE, it finally makes me get the term ‘post-everything’, when describing a band’s stylistic profile. After releasing a split with WE NEVER LEARNED TO LIVE on Holy Roar Records in 2014, they released their debut album ‘Spectrum’ in 2015 on Truthseeker Music, and now return with a stunning new record, released today on both aforementioned labels. With is huge atmospheric cycles of many contrary styles, “Flat Earth Blues” literally send chills down the spine and is nothing short of breathtaking. Definitely one of the most focused and creativity-fuelled records this year. Listen below and share your thoughts in the comments section below.

Named after the book ‘Flat Earth News’, written by Nick Davies, the record has been described by the band:

The title of the record is inspired by the book ‘Flat Earth News’ by Nick Davies, and tackles the same themes of media corruption, lies, and mistrust. We felt there were few occasions that better demonstrate the appalling state of the media than an Election Day.
