IDIOTEQ.com is an independent online music magazine operated by Karol Kamiński in Warsaw, Poland. This page explains what personal data may be processed when you use IDIOTEQ.com, contact the site, use browser notifications, view embedded media, or follow links to external services.
IDIOTEQ does not use display or programmatic advertising, does not sell personal data, and does not use reader data for behavioural advertising.
1. Who is responsible for your data

2. Data processed when you visit the site
Like most websites, IDIOTEQ.com and its infrastructure may process basic technical information necessary to deliver and protect the site. This can include IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, date and time of the request, referrer information, and technical logs.
This information is used for site delivery, security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, performance and reliability. The site uses hosting infrastructure, Cloudflare and Wordfence for these purposes. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating and securing the website, where applicable under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
3. Google Analytics
IDIOTEQ.com currently uses Google Analytics through Site Kit by Google to understand overall readership and site usage, such as visits, page views and general traffic patterns. IDIOTEQ does not use Google Ads or AdSense on the site.
Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technical identifiers and may process information such as device/browser data, approximate location derived from network information, pages viewed, visit duration and interaction data. Analytics-related storage is non-essential. Where consent is required by applicable law, consent is the relevant legal basis for this processing.
Google acts under its own terms and privacy documentation for Google Analytics. You can also use browser controls or privacy tools to restrict cookies and tracking technologies.
4. Browser push notifications
IDIOTEQ.com uses OneSignal to provide browser push notifications. If you choose to subscribe, OneSignal and the browser push service may process technical subscription information such as a push subscription identifier/token, browser and device information, notification permission status and related technical data needed to deliver and manage notifications.
OneSignal may also use browser storage such as IndexedDB, local storage or session storage to manage notification permissions and subscriptions. Push notifications are optional. You can revoke notification permission at any time in your browser or device settings.
5. Emails and editorial correspondence
If you contact IDIOTEQ by email, the information you provide may include your name, email address, band, artist, label or agency details, message content, links, attachments and other information you choose to send.
This data is used to read and respond to correspondence, manage editorial communication and keep necessary records of ongoing conversations. Depending on the context, the legal basis is the legitimate interest in managing editorial correspondence or taking steps at your request before entering into an arrangement. Email is handled using Gmail/Google services.
6. Embedded and external media
Articles on IDIOTEQ may contain media or content from external platforms, including services such as YouTube, Spotify, Bandcamp and Instagram. When external content is loaded or activated, your browser may connect directly to that provider. The provider may then receive technical information and may use cookies, local storage or similar technologies according to its own privacy policy.
IDIOTEQ does not control the data practices of those external platforms. If you do not want a third-party service to receive information from your browser, you should avoid loading or interacting with that external content.
7. External support and payment services
IDIOTEQ contains links to external services such as PayPal and Patreon. When you follow those links, you leave IDIOTEQ.com and the external provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policy. IDIOTEQ does not place programmatic advertising through those services.

9. Who may receive data
Depending on how you use the site, data may be processed by service providers used to operate IDIOTEQ, including hosting and infrastructure providers, Cloudflare, Wordfence, Google (including Analytics and Gmail), OneSignal, and external media platforms when their content is loaded or activated.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where GDPR applies, such transfers are subject to the transfer mechanisms and safeguards used by the relevant provider under applicable data-protection law.
10. How long data is kept
IDIOTEQ keeps personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, for site security and troubleshooting, for maintaining relevant editorial correspondence, or where retention is required by law. Data handled by third-party services is also subject to the retention settings and policies of those providers.
11. Your rights
Where GDPR applies, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal.
