To celebrate the 50th anniversary of COCK SPARRER, Pirates Press Records has made available a special edition pressing of all 7 Cock Sparrer LPs. These records are completely remastered from the original 1/4″ analogue tapes by James Bragg and housed in a housed in a special jacket printed on brushed gold foil-laminated stock. Together, they encapsulate a half-century of unforgettable memories, and many of the most timeless and legendary tunes punk has to offer.
Fifty years as a band is a rare accomplishment and not only have Cock Sparrer achieved this milestone, they helped forge a movement in Oi! Dating back to their formation in 1972 until now, Cock Sparrer has become a favorite for several generations and inspired artists such as Rancid, The Bouncing Souls, Dropkick Murphys, and more.
Not only have Cock Sparrer inspired generations of artists but fans have adopted their songs, further cementing the band’s legacy. Fan favorite tracks like “Take ‘Em All” have been sung by several Major League Soccer clubs while former UFC fighter Dan Hardy used the track “England Belongs To Me” as his walkout song.
Without Cock Sparrer, punk rock may have a very different look and feel than it has now.
