In the corners of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, where the Philly underground breeds its own brands of different morphs of hard hitting hardcore, Convent, a quartet formed from the remnants of local veterans—are carving out their own space with debut single, “Dirt Doesn’t Need Luck.”
This band is a convergence of different musical paths, with members previously involved in Amora, Floorbird, and Midfield, all bands entrenched in the Philadelphia suburbs’ musical veins.

With call-and-response vocal sections and a grimy yet calculated sound, the band pulls influence from a range of heavyweights like Code Orange, Slipknot, and Front Line Assembly. But the end result is all their own, a concoction of fury and precision.
