COILGUNS share new single and music video “Bandwagoning”

COILGUNS dropped their final single, “Bandwagoning,” from their upcoming fourth album Odd Love, set for release on November 22 via Humus Records.

This intense track encapsulates the band’s signature style—a mix of post-hardcore and noise rock, with chant-like refrains, rapid-fire spoken-word verses, and some of the fastest sections they’ve ever recorded.

“This is our noisy way to tell how little and lonely we sometimes feel in front of the big bad ones, and our determination not to surrender,” singer Louis Jucker shared.

The video for “Bandwagoning,” directed by Valentin Lurthy, is available on YouTube, and the single streams on all major platforms. Recorded with producer Scott Evans at Norway’s Ocean Sound Studio, this track captures an “effortless magic,” as Evans exclaimed, “Fuck Yeah!” during recording.

The full album, Odd Love, is a great proof of the band’s resilience and evolution, initially crafted by guitarist Jona Nido during the 2020 lockdown. The process led them to record in Norway, bringing in Grammy-nominated producers Tom Dalgety and Robin Schmidt to finalize the album.

Initially coming from the DIY hardcore scene, Coilguns, from La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland, have since then crafted their very own blend of punk and extatic noise-rock.

The history of the band is deeply bound to the development of guitarist Jona Nido’s own label – Humus Records – that now gathers up to 150 releases from Swiss artists of all sonic horizons.

Though their last two albums were 100% self-produced, engineered and mixed by the band members, Coilguns drove in the summer of 2022 to end-of-the-world’s Oceansound Recordings in Norway with producer Scott Evans to track their 4th studio album which was then mixed by grammy nominated producer Tom Dalgety. The band is known for its raw, uncompromising and euphoric live performances, proudly serving the dancing freaks and the crowd-surfing weirdos.
