Malevolence have dropped their brand-new single “Trenches” today, delivering a powerful metalcore hit that opens with a brutal, slow-moving force—a steamroller that methodically crushes its way through your mind. This introduction sets the stage for a tempo that gradually accelerates, compelling you toward mischievous behavior and total chaos.
Spiced up with a wild guitar solo, “Trenches” transitions back into brutal thrashing, infused with a dose of 2-step rhythms.
It’s been a brilliantly busy year of touring for the Sheffield crew, including an unforgettable performance at Bloodstock Festival this summer. Malevolence reportedly broke the festival’s record for crowdsurfers with an astounding 901 participants, a testament to their captivating live presence.
“Trenches” marks their first official release since their 2022 breakout third album, Malicious Intent.
In the interim, Malevolence have kept active by collaborating with notable acts like Lamb Of God, While She Sleeps, and the joint forces of Fit For An Autopsy and Thy Art Is Murder.
