CROSSING I'S DOTTING T'S

Los Angeles’ emo-grunge crew Crossing i’s Dotting t’s released their latest single, Bleary, today, March 14, 2025. The track lands with the band’s signature aggression, blending their established sound with fresh nu-metal and hardcore edges that kick in hard during the chorus.

Signed to Cleopatra Records and Best Life Records (UK), the group—originally from Orange County, now rooted in the LA/Ventura scene—leans into a raw portrayal of life’s grind. Bleary captures the weight of constant setbacks, the kind that exhaust you but somehow pull you back in, oddly endearing in their persistence.

Beyond their own release, the band shared a list of artists they’re into, offering a glimpse of what’s spinning in their orbit.

Guitarist Nye points to Sam Fender’s Watching People, saying, “I think Seventeen Going Under is one of the best written albums of the last decade, so I had been waiting eagerly for his follow up. I love its lyricism.”

He also flags High Vis’ Guided Tour: “I only started listening to High Vis this year, but this band is quickly becoming one of my favorites of the new wave of post-punk.”

Vocalist Matt digs into Modern Color’s There Goes the Dream, noting, “Always been a fan of them and this album sounds like a more polished version of everything they have done and feels very honest.”

He’s also hooked on Trauma Ray’s Chameleon: “I love stuff that Corey Coffman does and this record is heavy and ethereal at the same time. Great production and tone choices and songs in general.”

Rounding out his picks is Cheridomingo’s Shapeshift: “Cheridomingo are the homies who we have been able to play countless shows with and they always find a way to make things sound fresh. Cool tones and riffs and the always beautiful vocals combine for a masterpiece.”

Drummer Josh keeps it short but sharp, spotlighting Want to Disappear: “A good change of pace and shows the capabilities and diversity of the guys with their writing styles while maintaining the same punching energy of the band’s previous stuff throughout the album.” He also shouts out Coup de Grâce: “They’re my homies and it goes hard.”

With Bleary, Crossing i’s Dotting t’s builds on their mix of emo, grunge, shoegaze, and post-hardcore, pushing into heavier territory without losing their core. The band’s recommended listens tie into that vibe—gritty, loud, and unfiltered, much like the struggles Bleary wrestles with. Fans can stream it now and follow the band for more.
