From Portland, Oregon, Eight Bells consists of guitarist/vocalist Melynda Jackson, formerly of SubArachnoid Space, bassist/vocalist Haley Westeiner, and drummer Rae Amitay, also of Immortal Bird.
The trio summons an otherwordly sound โ ethereal vocals, soaring guitars, and ghostly ambience evoke ’70s prog-rock grandeur and Victorian mystery; blastbeats and screams bring the music into a modern, blackened realm. A recent review on MetalSucks compared the band to Pink Floyd and Ulver. CVLT Nation calls Landless an early contender for “one of the best releases of 2016.”
