“Itโs catchy and the wordplay is a lot of fun to dissect.” – he admits. “Not even mentioning the addicting shout chorus. Unfortunately this was the very first song I ever wrote/produced/finished and somehow it still remains this unsurpassable thing to myself. But thatโs also one of the things I like most about this project, every song is distinct, no matter how experimental I get every song has its message, itโs identity.”
Speaking about his newest song, โCBT Gummiโ, he continues: “I love industrial and goth music and I have a lot of friends who host and go to those sorts of events. Now, I didnโt make it with intention to them only, I made it and thatโs what it ended up being. I originally never wanted to go that route but then I said โwait a minute Iโm DICQBEATS Ill do whatever I wantโ and I ended up really enjoying it on the registers, even the mixing phase was very streamlined because the song is so driving.”
DICQBEATS has always been about not just saying everything is bad, but exploring WHY everything is bad and then thinking about what it means to the individual listener.
“Itโs something that at the end of the day I can be proud that I made even through all the hardships and bullshit Iโve had to fight over the years to really make myself heard.” – concludes DICQBEATS.
