“Heavy Hearts” – NJ emo indie post hardcore act ARCHIE ALONE release new single

1 min read

NJ based emotional, well carved and warm sounding post hardcore band ARCHIE ALONE have shared a new single “Heavy Hearts”, the second single off of their forthcoming self-titled EP out September 30th. The song premiered on The Deli Magazine where the band detailed, “‘Heavy Hearts’ is about experiencing loss. Trying to wrap your head around the concept of death and learning to live with it.”

Since truly forming in early 2012, Archie Alone has been connecting with audiences with their impassioned blend of emo and post-hardcore. Comprised of Nicole Mesce (vox/guitar), Cindy Ward (vox/guitar), Tony Mastrolia (bass) and Pete Clark (drums), the band is now getting ready to release a new, 6-track, self-titled EP.

Exploring the complexities of relationships and the expectations therein, Archie Alone lashes out with heavy metallic riffs while always wearing its heart on its sleeve.

For example, Ward says “Motives,” (LISTEN HERE) the EP’s lead single, “is about trying to establish genuine relationships with others. Then becoming disappointed because most people are concerned with only getting what they want instead of reciprocating an altruistic friendship.”
