ASTPAI tease “Burden Calls”, their new release, coming up this September!

2 mins read

Jump Start Records will be releasing ASTPAI‘s “Burden Calls”, the band’s latest full-length effort, on September 23rd! The label commented:

ASTPAI teaser

We have a very rich history with this band and they continue to make us proud. Just ask Jeremy about their performance at Groezrock over this past weekend in Belgium. This will be our sixth release for Astpai and our seventh year of working with these amazing gentlemen. Burden Calls will also see a European release via Ass-Card Records on August 22nd.

If you’re wondering how Astpai manages to keep up with a heavy touring schedule and continue to crank out new music, your guess is as good as ours. If anything, Astpai is a shining example of what hard work, strong D.I.Y. ethics and determination can achieve. Budren Calls is their fifth full length and is made up of thirteen tracks. You can find the track listing below.

01. Single Use
02. Dead End Talking
03. Out
04. Death Everywhere
05. After All
06. Departure
07. Ground Control
08. Down By Love
09. Resignation
10. Careers
11. Small Change
12. Oxygen
13. Emotion In The Way

Recorded and mixed by Tom Zwanzger at S.T.R.E.S.S. Studio Graz this album is a perfect blend of their love for pop hooks with aggressive riffs. To add some extra beef to the mix, it was mastered by Alan Douches of West West Side Music. The bands friend and outstanding artist, Flö Rastbichler, created the artwork for this release.Burden Calls also marks Astpai’s first concept full length. The story focuses on the burdens that the main character faces while trying to find deeper meaning in his life. It leads him through depressive dialogues, hopeless monologues and hopeful thoughts.

As per usual, Astpai will be spending much of this year on the road. Below are all of their current tour dates. If they are in your town, don’t miss the show.
