AT THE DRIVE-IN have no plans for a new record

1 min read

AT THE DRIVE-IN guitarist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez recently sat down for an interview with Kerrang! and said that the recently-reunited band are not going to record a new album.

Rodriguez-Lopez described the band’s reunion as a pure “nostalgia thing” and compared it to “an old T-shirt that doesn’t fit any more”, saying:

Will there be a new album? No, no, no. At The Drive-In is more of a nostalgia thing – it’s songs we wrote when we were all in our 20s and we’re doing a couple of shows. It’s an old T-shirt that doesn’t fit me any more, but when you put it on again, it feels nice. It’s as simple as that.

AT THE DRIVE-IN‘s last studio album, “Relationship of Command”, came out in September 2000, months before they broke up.
