BREAK EVEN call it quits [UPDATE]

After 7 years together, BREAK EVEN have decided to call it quits despite the fact that they will still play this year’s Soundwave Festival in Australia.

The band states:

It is with sadness that we announce Break Even have decided to part ways. Over time the commitments in our lives other than the band have become more important and despite our best efforts to persist with the band after all the writing and touring over the last few years we have to come to the end of the road. Soundwave Festivall will be our last tour but we will be announcing a few last shows for you very soon. We have made so many friends and seen so many places through our music and couldn’t be happier at what we have seen and done. Thanks to anyone that has come to a show, let us stay at their house, put a show on for us, released our music or just supported us in anyway possible. We are forever grateful. THANK YOU

Over time the commitments in our lives other than the band have become more important and despite our best efforts to persist with the band after all the writing and touring over the last few years we have come to the end of the road.” Their final two shows will be at HARDCORE 2012 in Sydney this July but they wanted to make sure they got to play their home town one last time and make the shows as special as possible.
We are lucky enough to have our great mates MILES AWAY playing all three of the shows and some of our favourite local perth bands supporting aswell, to make the shows even more special there is going to be acoustic acts during the bands from TOY BOATS and JAMIE HAY.
Again we want to thank every person who has supported us from Perth throughout the years, we have made so many friends and seen so many places through our music and couldn’t be happier at what we have seen and have got to do.
