One year after releasing an acoustic EP “My Everyday Pop Songs”, Savona, Italy based emotive alt rockers BEINGMOVED are back with their first release as a full band, recorded with drums tracked in in a small church near their hometown. Dubbed “Smiles and Bigger Hearts”, their debut full length opens up with a nostalgia-inducing, melodious track “My House”, and today we’re thrilled to give you its first airing above!
“Smiles and Bigger Hearts” will be released independently this coming November through the band’s label Burning Bungalow and Hill Studio Production, their friendly studio, where they recorded and mixed the whole thing. Mastering process has been done in Hamburg. The band is looking for labels and collectives interested in co-releasing the album, so if you know someone who can be interested, please get in touch via email or social networks.
Asked about the lyrical content behind the single, the band commented:
“Chorus lyrics say: “My House is going down the hill, ten thousand times, ten crossed lines and now you’re on your knees”: this is directly referred to the big problems we got with that house in the past years. Ten years after the house was built, the road in front of that just started collapsing, becoming a big landslide which caused us to move away from there for months, and also legal causes with the constructors (unfortunately gone bad).
So this talks about real life problems. Music has always been a very good way to lighten these kind of family issues.”
BEINGMOVED are: Andrea Nocco: guitar and voice, Edoardo Nocco: guitar and backing vocals, Samuele Puppo: bass and backing vocals, Simone Brunzu: drums.
