BRUECKEN explain new post rock opus “Innere Inruhen”, 6 atmopsheric tracks with the underlying theme of the necessity to rise and speak up

Fresh off the release of their new instrumental album โ€œInne Unruhenโ€ on Moment Of Collapse Records, Oldenburg , Germany based post-rock band BRUECKEN are checking in to our pages with their extra commentary on the content behind their impresisive new opus.

โ€œInne Unruhenโ€ is an unorthodox but fluent mixture of different influences from hardcore to shoegaze, that challenges the well-known and established post-rock-formulas.

“”Innere Unruhenโ€œ is an ambiguous German phrase.” – comments the band. “It can mean “feelings of unease and unrestโ€œ as well as “civil unrestโ€œ. Both meanings can take very different shapes, as pictured above.”

“This album is about the thread that weaves them together. It is an attempt to envision the connected stories of individual and collective life, musically. While writing this album, we discussed whether innere Unruhen, personal or collective unrests, are good or bad. We agreed that one should strive to find an inner calm, yet accept that unrest on every level is productive: a driving force of change, a way to incite empathy and bridge the gap from thoughts to action.”

“Living in a field of permanent unrest is hard. The undeniable feeling of discomfort leaves one with the impression of powerlessness. A deeply engraved assumption that weโ€˜re not up to the task of changing anything, that it is up to others to do so. But then again discomfort might be instructive. It forces us to acknowledge the current state of things. It connects us with others who can relate to similar experiences. In this sense, innere Unruhen are quite paradoxical: they allow us to find the strength to start with whatโ€˜s directly in front of us.

Asked about other current releases that caught the band’s attention, BRUECKEN recommends a trio of great albums you should check out if you haven’t already:

SOM – the shape of everything

Really well arranged Doom Pop Album which came out of the blue and caught our attention quickly.

Sundowning – in the light of defeat, I cease to exist

Sophomore album by our former labelmates, who released a nasty heavy beast of balckenend hardcore.

Cult Of Luna – the long road north

This band is getting us chills whnever we listen to their music. By far one of the most outstanding projects out there, delivering music that is as heavy as beautifull.
