CARDIAC ARREST (not to be cofused with the Chicago death metal band and the St. Louis punks) was founded in 2010 in a Suburban Austrian basement. Since then the band has released 3 EPs consistently played shows all across their home country and central Europe as well as a three week Ukraine/Russia tour in 2014. Their most recent EP “At War With Myself” has earned them critical acclaim in Austria and Germany. VISIONS magazine named it “demo of the month” in December 2014. Tides is the second music video off that record.
Lyrics:
Say what you want me to say
And I will speak my heart in time
I’ll be here waiting for a change
It’s so hard to watch you from afarThe tides drag me out to sea
and I need you more than ever,
to hold my head above the water
when I can’t keep the blues at bayI’m feeling so displaced
lately nothing goes my way
So I float amongst the waves
with no land in sightNow the words come out all wrong
when I sing myself to sleep
Put me to rest, put me to rest
This world spins way too fast for meI know that it seems awkward
when I’m always staring off into nothing
So I pretend that it’s okay
when I’m just lying through my teeth againI’d rather hide myself away
from everyone and everything
So I float amongst the waves
with no land in sightJust a fucking shipwreck!
Lost at sea,
somewhere between home and
where I’m supposed to beNow the words come out all wrong
when I sing myself to sleep
Put me to rest, put me to rest
This world spins way too fast for meWhen I sing myself to sleep
Say what you want me to say
And I will speak my heart in time
I’ll be here waiting for a change
It’s so hard to watch you from afar
