Chilean experimental noise punk duo MANUAL DE COMBATE have recently released an interesting new split with their friends from DUMO, offering a solid load of full-force drum slams, fuzzy slabs of bass, and crushing it into the wreckage of garage, noise rock, and post punk. Abrasive, affecting and inventive, the record sounds like a minimal, yet explosive novelty. MANUAL DE COMBATE will be hitting Europe for the first time in support of this adventurous release in October and November, with shows taking place in Germany, The Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Czech Republic! Expect more details to be unveiled in August, but in the meantime check out the split as it’s most likely to reward repeated listens.
MANUAL DE COMBATE commented on the record:
It worked out because we were both fully committed to it. Our sound in format drum and bass are mainly based on taking full advantage of the resources we have. On one hand, it is minimalistic, both the drums and the bass are very intense. It is hard and challenging at the same time, it requires a certain level of significance when recording an EP or CD. On the other hand, it gives you more logistic freedom, in terms of being able to do many other things, including traveling.
