Danish heavy hardcore band LIFESICK share new video for “Loved By None”, tour dates incoming

2 mins read

Danish heavyweights LIFESICK just dropped the animated video for “Loved By None,” a fierce track from their upcoming album Loved By None, Hated By All, due out on November 1st via Metal Blade Records. The band’s sound is a relentless mashup of death metal and metallic hardcore, with a Swedish death metal influence and the gritty crunch of modern hardcore breakdowns.

The band digs deep into the harsh realities of life, with lyrics that come straight from personal turmoil. “The feeling of being loved by none and hated by all, despite trying your best to be a good person, can be overwhelming,” they explain about their latest single. “It often feels like the world is trying to bring you down and keep you there. This song is the fastest and most aggressive track on the album, and also one of the shortest. It’s straightforward, bone-crushing hardcore, featuring a mix of blast beats and a groovy breakdown at the end.”

Formed in Fredericia, Denmark in 2015, LIFESICK has steadily built a reputation for themselves, growing darker and heavier with every release. Their Life And Other Lies EP in 2023 marked their entry into the Metal Blade Records roster, and now, Loved By None, Hated By All represents a new high for the band.

The album was once again recorded by Jacob Bredahl at Dead Rat Studio, who didn’t just handle the technical side but also helped the band shape the material before hitting record. “He came down to our rehearsal room where we played all the songs for him live, so he could add his touch to each song or edit stuff that we might have been a little blind to from playing the songs too much. This was the first time we did this, and it was very effective,” the band says.

Mixing was done by Taylor Young at The Pit, giving the album a distinct edge from their previous records, while industrial noise collective John Cxnnor layered in sound design and samples, crafting a dark and immersive atmosphere. The band’s aim was to unify the album with these elements, and John Cxnnor nailed it, bringing an industrial feel that complements the heavy, aggressive sound.
