LIFESICK is set to release their new full-length album Loved By None, Hated By All on November 1st through Metal Blade Records. Alongside the announcement, the band has unveiled the first single and video for “Legacy Of Misery.”
Formed in Fredericia, Denmark, in 2015, LIFESICK hails from a city built on war, with a history steeped in violence and conflict. Though Denmark is now seen as one of the most peaceful places to live, the band continues to channel inner turmoil and disillusionment through their music. Their latest album embodies this raw energy, offering an unfiltered expression of frustration and anger that mirrors the state of the modern world.
Musically influenced by Swedish death metal and hardcore, LIFESICK’s sound is a relentless barrage of crushing tones and brutal breakdowns. Every track hits like a gut punch, unapologetically exposing the harshness of existence. “Sometimes it feels like the more you give, the more they take,” the band says about the album title, which reflects the overarching theme of living in a world where struggle and destruction are constant companions.
The album was once again recorded by Jacob Bredahl, though his role extended beyond just engineering this time. He worked closely with the band during rehearsals, offering new insights and helping to refine the material. Taylor Young at The Pit took on the mixing duties, adding a fresh perspective to the sound, while John Cxnnor provided dark industrial samples that enhance the atmosphere of the record.
The first single, “Legacy Of Misery,” is a song for those beaten down by the system and betrayed by those around them, yet finding solace in a brotherhood of outcasts. Featuring guest vocals from Andreas Bjulver of Cabal, the track delivers a groove-heavy anthem with a powerful sing-along chorus.
Loved By None, Hated By All will be available digitally, on CD, and in limited edition vinyl variants.
