Does anyone still care about BLINK-182?

1 min read

After the recent melodramatic switch from guitarist Tom Delonge to ALKALINE TRIO’s Matt Skiba, BLINK-182 are finally on the verge of releasing their new record. The band has recently unveiled a couple of new tracks and will release the full album called “California” later this week, on 1st July via giant label BMG. The trio is  supporting the record on a massive US trek, detailed below. Surprisingly, the highly anticipated first album since the departure of founding mastermind Thomas Matthew Delonge Jr. seems to be a highly vigorous proof of their ability to create radio-friendly, quality pop punk rock tunes. Matt Skiba didn’t fail as bad as we all thought, yet it’s kind of irritating to see him “emulate” his predecessor. He’s got his own original talent, after all. Check out some of the free tunes, find the leaked album online, or simply wait for the official version. Oh, and most importantly, let us know what you think!

Tom DeLonge has recently released his new book titled ‘Sekret Machines’, a sci-fi piece spiced up with some crazy stuff about UFOs and aliens, which he allegedly investigates along with the US government (sic!). He’s planning on releasing a new documentary on that. Can’t wait to watch it, actually.
