Chicago-based punk rock outfit Sincere Engineer is showing off their vulnerable side with the release of their new track, “Inside My Head.” The song is an all-too-relatable look at the paralysis that takes over when life gets hard.
“This is our new song Inside My Head!” says Sincere Engineer frontwoman Deanna Belos. “It’s about being overworked and not having the motivation to do…anything. Where oh where did my will to live go?”
The song’s lyrics are raw and honest, and Belos’ vocals are both powerful and vulnerable. The instrumentation is simple but effective, with driving guitars and a pounding drumbeat that perfectly convey the song’s sense of urgency.
“Inside My Head” is a powerful and moving track that will resonate with anyone who has ever felt overwhelmed or lost. It’s a reminder that we’re not alone in our struggles, and that it’s okay to not be okay sometimes.
The song is the first single from Sincere Engineer’s upcoming studio album, “Cheap Grills,” which is due out on September 22, 2023. The album is the band’s third full-length release, and it promises to be their most personal and revealing work to date.
In addition to the release of “Inside My Head,” Sincere Engineer has also announced their first ever headline tour. The tour will kick off in October and will take the band to 15 cities across the United States. Tickets are on sale now.
