Building on the twinkle-daddy inspired tracks from their debut split with THE UNENDING THREAD, Milo EP by FORGET IT weds the familiar raw production and cranked guitars with an air of refinement. The record will be available on cassette and CD via Old Press Records and digitally at forgetitmusic.bandcamp.com, but you can now stream the newest single “No Clean Clothes” and previously released “Paperhouse: below!
“It feels really good to finally get these songs onto a physical medium and to put a name on it,” commented guitarist/singer Jacob Gill. “It’s snapshot of our experiences since we became a band a little over a year ago.”
Here’s what the band’s own Connor Gill had to say about the new track:
“No Clean Clothes is one of our oldest songs. It’s about becoming apathetic when in a relationship, and how it affects the rest of your life. Comparing this feeling to not having any clean laundry is an almost satirical comparison, but I thought it was a good analogy.”
When asked why it took so long to get the song out, he said:
“We had been playing it since we started and when we did the split [with The Unending Thread, also released by Old Press Records] we didn’t think that it fit well. And then we stopped playing it live, but brought it back right before we recorded the EP”
